Customers ask us all the time: what should I choose, PremiDoor 88 or PremiDoor 76?

Both the PremiDoor 88 and PremiDoor 76 systems deliver exceptional performance, but each is designed with different project requirements in mind.

Let’s take a closer look at what sets each system apart so you can make a confident and informed decision.

PremiDoor 88

Larger Sizes:

With its thicker frame and stronger reinforcement, PD88 is designed for large-scale openings. 2 panel dimensions reach a tested max size of 6500 mm x 2540 mm (21.3' x 8.3'), and even larger openings are possible with 4 panels, reaching a tested max size of 6500 mm x 2896 mm (21.3' x 9.5').

Performance-Driven:

With a high NAFS rating (LC-PG60 & CW-PG50), the PremiDoor 88 is a strong choice for projects that demand advanced structural, air, and water performance.

Design Statement:

With its wide glass openings the PremiDoor 88 turns any wall into a design feature that feels open, bright, and modern.

PremiDoor 76

XX Configuration Option:

The PD76 offers an additional XX configuration option (2 operable panels), giving you flexibility in layout and traffic flow.

Wheelchair Accessible:

In contrast to the PD88, which uses a taller track for enhanced weather performance, the PD76 features a low track that provides easier access for wheelchairs, strollers, or those with mobility challenges, making it a great option for multi-family, healthcare, or aging-in-place projects.

Smart Value:

The PremiDoor 76 offers a high-quality solution that’s more cost-effective when larger sizes aren’t required. It reaches a 2 panel maximum tested size of 4572 mm x 2600 mm (15’ x 8.5’), and 4 panel configurations are tested up to 6500 mm x 2591 mm (21.3’ x 8.5’).

Lux Variant Available:

The PD76 is also available in a Lux variant, which features a slimmer sash profile for improved sightlines and increased glass area.
